In 2024, SEZ‑based companies produced products worth RUB 160 billion, up 31% year‑on‑year. This growth was a result of the active use of contemporary technologies. Enterprises are adopting artificial intelligence, industrial robots and automated lines to significantly improve efficiency, reduce costs and speed up production processes. Innovative solutions are becoming an integral part of development, turning SEZs into centers of technological progress.
In the reporting year, 19 SEZ residents completed the pilot stage of the national project on Labor Productivity. The companies engaged experts to conduct in‑depth diagnostics of their processes, uncovered bottlenecks and applied effective solutions based on cutting‑edge technology and lean manufacturing strategies.
Taking part in the national project not only elevated the economic performance of the residents, particularly by cutting costs and boosting production, but also resulted in the creation of a crucial intangible resource, namely new competencies in management and production. Such an approach lays down a strong groundwork for ongoing development and grants companies a lasting competitive benefit.
