In 2023, Technopolis Moscow SEZ was recognized as the leader among Russian SEZs of technology and innovation type in terms of performance, which amounted to 100%. The performance index is calculated annually by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and includes such factors as the efficiency of residents’ activities, profitability of budget investments in infrastructure creation, efficiency of the management company, efficiency of planning and contribution to the achievement of Russia’s national goals.

The capital city’s SEZ continues to maintain its dominant position in terms of the number of jobs created, including jobs organized by residents who are small and medium‑sized enterprises. It also shows a positive trend in terms of the volume of investments made by residents, which contributes to the growth of production and development of innovations.

Furthermore, the SEZ has been consistently meeting the targets for most key indicators, confirming its efficiency and ability to adapt to changes in the external environment.

Particular emphasis is placed on fostering a supportive business climate within the Special Economic Zone of the capital. To this end, new infrastructure is being developed, transport accessibility is being enhanced, and a comprehensive range of services is being offered, encompassing everything from personal accounts for residents to consultancy and marketing assistance. The ’Made in SEZ’ brand is used to promote products. However, in light of the shortage of skilled personnel, investors have expressed a specific need for assistance in securing personnel for their operations. Since 2022, the TechnoWork and TechnoInternship projects have been operating within the SEZ of Moscow, providing companies with the opportunity to recruit staff without incurring any costs. Consequently, during this period, over 1,000 students from Moscow’s technical colleges and universities have completed internships in the innovative operations of the SEZ.
